As the new school year kicked off in Ebonyi State on September 11, 2023, the OMNI FOUNDATION has started the journey of training the son of its late board member, Mr Chikaodiri Augustus, up to the university level as promised.

To this end, the foundation has released the sum of three hundred thousand naira to the wife of the deceased, Mrs Ozioma Augustus, to cover the tuition for the three terms, cost of uniform, books and other possible school exigencies of the beneficiary, Master Gold Osinakachukwu Chikaodiri, currently starting JSS 3.

In a statement made available to The Rake by the director of communication, Dr Joseph Nwanja Chukwu, quoted the Executive Director of the Foundation, Dr David Ogbonna, saying that “the Foundation decided to release the funds for the session at once to avoid interruption in his schooling” because” because “the Chief Executive Officer of OMNI FOUNDATION, Chief Nwigwe Chibueze, is a man of his own words and would not go back in the promise of the foundation training the child up to university level and in any discipline of his choice”.

According to him “the foundation would continue to offer bursary scholarships to undergraduates of Ugwulangwu as well as sustain the yearly award of N500,000 to anyone who graduated with first class in any Nigerian university”.

While commending the Foundation for the gesture, the wife of the late Mr. Augustus, Mrs. Ozioma Augustus, expressed heartfelt appreciation to OMNI FOUNDATION and the Chief Executive Officer for fulfilling their promise and prayed to God to prosper them.

It would be recalled that Mr Chikaodiri Augustus, who was a lecturer at the Department of English and Literary Studies, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike as well as a director in the Foundation, suddenly died on May 1, 2023.

The Foundation during his burial promised to train one of his three children up to university level in any area of his choice, a promise now being kept.
