The National Women Leader of the Ibru Initiative for Good Governance and Equity, IIGGE, Mrs Aisha Nwachi said the emergence of the Ebonyi First Lady, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Maudlin Uzoamaka Nwifuru emerged as the Best Performing First Lady in Nigeria never came to her a surprise.

Mrs Nwachi stated this Friday in Enohia Itim, Afikpo Ebonyi State during an interaction with journalists.

She maintained that Mrs Nwifuru since her foray into politics she embodies succour, empathy and matchless generosity.

According to the IIGE leader, Mrs Nwifuru has leveraged public office in the provision of social services to people of the state since her day as the Speaker’s wife.

“I am not surprised that our mother, Her Excellency was unanimously voted as the most performing FirstLady.
” I say this with all sense of responsibility. She is a mother full of compassion and succour.
” I am delighted to see that all she has been doing for our people did not escape the eagle eye of independent non-state assessors, a reason for her declaration as the winner of the contest.

” If you see the thematic and areas of core competencies of the Better Health for Rural Women and Children, BERWO you will agree with me she is committed to providing health and medical needs for our women especially those in the rural areas”, she related.

Mrs Nwachi while calling for greater support and collaboration for the Governor Nwifuru-led government and the APC, added that the award is just also “a confirmation of the populist mandate Ebonyians gave in the 2023 general election”.

The Rake reports that the Ebonyi First Lady contested with others and successfully defeated her counterparts.
