Ebonyi Lawmaker, Ogah distributes tobacco as constituency project

Tobacco has been distributed in Amagu Ohatekwe community as a constituency project.
Chinedu Ogah, the member representing Ikwo/ Ezza South Federal Constituency made the distribution Saturday as part of his constituency projects in the area during a series of events marking his 47th birthday anniversary.
The visibly elated Ogah who compared the tobacco to a job, urged beneficiaries to guard against diversion.
The lawmaker announced that the tobacco empowerment beneficiaries will surely value it more than those he gave federal jobs.
A statement from the lawmaker’s media office signed by Charles Kelechi Iteshi quite the lawmakerr as saying “What I am offering them as tobacco is windows mite but I am certain many of them would value it more than those employees that I attracted federal jobs from my constituency”.
The Rake reports that the 47-year-old Lawmaker insisted that youths, especially the elder men must be given the substance as they are actors in the electoral process that birth his victory.
“The aged women and Our aged fathers and mothers in the villages are the ones who keep their voter’s card intact and since I cannot reach all of them individually, those selected people mobilized to visit them should ensure each person benefits”.
Recall that in the build-up to the 2023 general election, Ogah had offered free haircuts to erring youths in the constituency.
