A foremost American missionary who made monumental contributions to the growth and advancement of the Gospel in Nigeria, West Africa, Missionary Theodore Saunders Hardwick was today buried in a blaze of glory.

The burial which was simultaneously held in Amarillo, Texas, USA, also witnessed a live memory service in honour of the departed missionary in the Prestigious Dorris Chad Academy Ezi-Ewa, Enohia Itim, Nigeria.

Evangelist Adams Eze Adam and Charles Onwe while speaking on” Working for God till death stated that the life and times of the late missionary was “characterised by empathy for the lost, a Godly virtue that led to devotion in saving the lost and establishing them in Christ. Since death summarises the existence of all mortals, what survives it, are the legacies left behind while alive. As for the late Hardwick, as Christ tarries, his legacies forever be remembered.

“That many of our people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Personal Saviour was chiefly because of sponsorship of the Gospel, Bible and Gospel Literature which Brother Theodore Hardwick prioritised.
” Granted he’s not physically present here anymore, but we can not forget his sacrifices bringing and sponsoring the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ till the breath his last”.

The adopted son of the late missionary, Evangelist Reuben Uche Egwu in a chat with journalists told chilling tales of a life of service, sacrifices, love for humanity and the fear of God which his late father was known.
Evangelist Egwu observed “If life is replaceable, I would have replaced his. My father was a man who had an unquenchable thirst for the lost. His entire life on earth was a life of devotion to the things of God and humanity, especially the lost souls.

“This is a man who left the comfort and journeyed to Nigeria to preach the Gospel of salvation to the lost in the suburbs.

” It is impossible to erase the memories of this great servant of God.

” And so his remains are interred in Amarillo, Texas, USA, his legacies are physically present here Enohia Itim, Afikpo, Nigeria and other places he extensively did the work of our Saviour Jesus Christ. This burial today is simultaneously held for those who can not go to Amarillo, we organised ours here in Nigeria”.

The late missionary spent decades as a missionary of the Church of Christ and supported the Church in Nigeria.

In his honour during the memorial service today, gifts were given to the parents of the Dorris-Chad International Christian Academy, the graduates from Dorris-Chad Bible College and widows.
