As the society continues to witness daily erosion of values and morals, the need to arrest this drift and put an end to moral drift and decadence has continued to engage the attention of opinion moulders and makers.
Benjamin Chukwuebuka, the founder and initiator of the Ebonyi Got Talent Event spoke to journalists in Abakaliki on what informed the vision and mission the event seeks to achieve.
Speaking to journalists shortly after a meeting with key partners in the project, Benjamin Chukwuebuka attributed youth restiveness and crimes to the inability of the youths to channel their innate skills and talent into a productive venture, a sad trend, he said must be urgently addressed.
He said:
“We are committed to in our capacity to end moral decadence among the youths. No youth is empty. It is because the platform to harness their God potential has not been provided.
” And so most of them resort to crimes and become extremely restive.
” The Ebonyi Got Talent is a platform to harvest these talents and channel them to where it will be glory to our dear state in particular, and Nigeria in general.
” We have prizes for all categories of contestants and we have representatives from the Nollywood. Chief Chinwetalu Agu and Zubby Michael will all be here in Abakaliki.
“Our youths must get busy. That potential God gave them must be used for the benefit of humanity”, Ebuka said.
He further revealed that the project is open to sponsorship for those interested in human capital development.
