Group hails Gov Nwifuru’s fulfilment of campaign promises, describes him as a dependable leader

The Odinma Ebonyi Foundation says it is happy with the ongoing execution of the People’s Charter of Needs by the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon Builder Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru described the Ebonyi leader as a “dependable and reliable leader”.

The Organisation, keenly interested in the Ebonyi project, asserted that the present Ebonyi State is blessed with a governor who is intentional in bettering the lots of the led as seen in “the increase of workers’ salaries, provision of water in the state capital, recruitment of health professionals for the general hospitals, and the ongoing recruitment of various cadres of civil servants”.

In a statement made available to journalists in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital on Friday, the Chairman, of Odinma Ebonyi Foundation said the governor is winning on sectors of the economy.

Azu announced “On the education and industrialisation drive, Odinma Ebonyi Foundation lauded Governor Nwifuru for increasing subvention for Ebonyi State University, and subsequent payment of two months in retrospect and the release of another N300m owed by the previous government to the state varsity and approved bursaries for Ebonyi Indigenous Law School Students. Also commendable, is the establishment of a drug production centre, mega drug distribution centre, lead and zinc processing plant, lead and zinc buying centre”.
The statement reads in part.
“Equally commendable is Governor Nwifuru’s irrevocable commitment to giving Ebonyi State infrastructural facelift as seen in the construction and rehabilitation of rural road infrastructures; Obubra Junction to Offerekpe, Ikwo 41km, Obvudechi – Iziogo road 19km, Offerekpe – Agbaja road 31.827km, Ishieke Odomoke Ekebeligwe – Isophu – Nworie, 12.81km, Ebony Agro Dealers Market Road Onuebonyi 1.3km, Ogboenyi Road off Ndibe Beach, Afikpo, Itara – Dr Akanu Ibiam – Oyoyo – Erei road, Unwana and the rehabilitation of Alo Street/ Unity Square with some spot maintenance along Nwele Street.

“Odinma Ebonyi Foundation is commending the governor for disbursement of N50m for local business people, for resettling displaced persons at Amanze and Izzo Communities, Izzi and Abakaliki by building 280 bungalows.
“It is heartwarming to note that sporting and recreational activities in the state are revived even as the cleanup exercise is sustained by moving from waste to wealth management and the commitment to bringing back Ebonyi children doing menial jobs in various cities of the country.

“The budgeting system in Ebonyi is now digitised and proactive steps geared towards averting communal crises and the security of lives and properties are fully activated.

“We equally commend the release of a 100m counterpart fund for Agro-allied businesses.

“Governor Nwifuru is walking the talk for the greater good of all”.
